Australian National Maritime Museum
On loan from the Natural History Museum in London, this world-renowned exhibition showcases 100 awe-inspiring photographs. Filling a time gap in the galleries between permanent exhibitions, the exhibition had to be free standing, and provide temporary walls with a limited budget. This wall solution provided a smooth solid-looking gallery-like environment and hid the jumble of wall cases and finishes that could not be touched. A symmetrical layout with alcoves made it easy to navigate the sections of the exhibition, while features were made of the multimedia to enhance the visitor experience.
